    Sadie’s “TANTRUM!!!” Unleashes Feminine Fury

You ever hold it together so well it almost feels criminal? Like, you could win awards for being composed. Gold star for swallowing your anger, smiling through the bullshit, and staying cute while doing it. But then—then—there’s that moment. The snap. The glorious, fuck-this-shit explosion that’s been simmering under all that pretty composure. That’s Sadie’s “TANTRUM!!!” in a nutshell… and honestly? I’m obsessed and living for the drama.

Sadie, fully independent and fully in charge, writes and produces all her music, and in “TANTRUM!!!” she’s channeling every woman who’s ever been called “too much” just for showing feelings. The track opens cheeky as hell with a phone convo straight out of our group chat, where she says: Girl, so I told him I was upset, right? And her friend goes, “Right?

    Then comes the punchline:

And he goes, “Woah woah, don’t go throwing a tantrum!”
    No he didn’t!

    Yes, he did!

    He said that?

He literally said that.. So I go “If you think that this is a tantrum?”

    He doesn’t know what’s comin…

He has no idea…’Cause that was me being nice… But I can show him what a real tantrum looks like…

What hits me immediately is how damn intentional this song feels. Jazz and hip-hop swirl together like you’re trying to stay elegant, stay polite—because god forbid we show real anger. The verses are all sharp and cutting, like Sadie’s clinging to her last ounce of grace while listing this dude’s greatest hits of disappointment, singing about a “dumb boy tryna test my patience” and how she was “there for him in his time of need,” only to get “Jack shit!” in return. Same, girl. We’ve all been that girl, breaking down the play-by-play to our friends over vodka sodas at 1 AM. “A shitty attitude, he’s a shitty ass friend” hits way too close to home.

But then… the switch flips. The chorus kicks in, and it’s pure unleashed fury wrapped in rock star glam. When she warns, “Oh you better run, you don’t wanna see me throw a real tantrum,” you believe her. The jazz and hip-hop melt away, and the rock explodes like the literal sound of snapping. Guitars screech, drums hit harder, and Sadie does not hold back. This tantrum isn’t ugly—it’s fucking necessary. It’s loud, theatrical, and struts right past “too much” into “exactly enough.”

I can hear so many influences woven into this chaos cocktail. On paper, it’s wild: a little Avril Lavigne bratty rock, Pink’s in-your-face attitude, and even Will Smith/Fresh Prince’s punchy, conversational flow. But Sadie makes it work, babe. It’s like layering satin and leather—clashing textures that somehow look sexy as hell together.

By verse two, she’s downright savage and honestly? Goals. She throws shade, saying he’s “sorry while giving me a pout” and snarks, “Sorry that he said it or sorry that I called him out.” She keeps going, cutting even deeper with, “You think it worked but I don’t buy it,” and rolling her eyes lyrically with “Use your brain it ain’t rocket science.” Then comes the knockout punch: “I must confess boy you act like a bitch.” And just when you think she’s done, she hits again with “‘Cause when I say I’m upset, you say I’m throwing a fit what,” followed by “Think I’m delirious, you can’t be serious,” and the final nail, “You thought I was mad… uh oh! Now I’m furious.” Tell me that’s not the energy we all want texting that fuckboy who thinks ghosting and crawling back with a half-assed “sorry” will cut it. No, sir. Sadie drags him right where he belongs—in the lyrical group chat hall of shame.

And the outro? Oh, honey, it’s iconic. She drills it in, repeating, “That was me being nice.” You can practically see her flipping her hair and walking away while everything burns behind her.

“TANTRUM!!!” isn’t just loud for loud’s sake. It’s a statement. It’s about reclaiming the word hysterical and turning it into power. It’s every girl who’s been told to be more “classy” or “chill” saying fuck that. Sometimes, being composed is overrated. Sometimes, you have to scream a little.

So turn this one up when you’re sick of holding your tongue. When your mascara’s smudged, your patience is gone, and you’re ready to let the whole damn world know you’re done being nice. Sadie’s right there with us, and trust—this tantrum sounds fucking amazing.
