‘What’s Your Name?’ by Eden and Me Turns the Club into a Flirt Trap

Okay, let me tell you — if you’ve ever locked eyes with some random stranger, had your brain short-circuit, and instantly started plotting your future (or at least your night), Eden and Me basically wrote your theme song. What’s Your Name? is that glossy little nu-disco banger that turns your situationship potential into a dance floor fantasy — retro groove, glittery beat, and just enough obsession to make it dangerously relatable.

Eden’s whole vibe makes sense once you know her. I was born in Marseilles in ‘97 — so yeah, French, hot, and probably naturally good at making questionable nighttime decisions. She’s been singing since she was seven, but it was high school when shit got real — her first band, finding that sound, figuring out that when you mix electro, funk, disco, and soul — you turn heads and get noticed. Now? Her music’s sitting right at the crossroads of all that — basically the soundtrack to every messy night out I live for.

The track kicks off with “Just a Monday in the streets, I felt alright” — you know that vibe, the casual, minding-your-own-business walk — and then bam, “Then I saw you as a dream, out of sight.” That’s how it happens, right? You’re fine, maybe even smug about staying single, and suddenly this snack strolls past and your whole ‘independent girl era’ starts shaking.

Eden gets it — she spirals fast, and I’d be lying if I said I don’t do the same. “I don’t know if I should tell you, the way you made me fall for you.” Have you ever seen someone, and thirty seconds later, you’re already picturing them naked underneath you? Yeah, that. But then comes the hook — and it’s dangerously catchy. “What’s your name? I just wanted to know your name, whatever it is, it’s the same.” Facts. He could be called Jesus or Lucifer, and I’m still climbing him like a tree if he plays this track in my ear.

There’s this sweet little drop where the retro bassline kicks in, and suddenly, it’s 3 AM at some sweaty club with sticky floors, neon lights, and your girls cheering you on to shoot your shot. But Eden keeps it playful, spiraling through the fantasy with “Time past, so did my dream, it flew away… but then you came back by my street, should I stay?” Sis, the answer’s yes. You stay, you flirt, you do the deed, you maybe regret it tomorrow, but who cares, the song’s still bussin’.

What I love is how Eden’s sneaky with it — behind the glitter and basslines, she slips in that ache, that lowkey desperation we don’t admit out loud. You want his name, sure, but really? You want the whole damn fantasy. The late-night texts, the sloppy toppy in his car, the Sunday morning you pretend is more than a hookup even though his instagram bio screams situationship energy.

By the time she whispers, “I wish I could have known you, at least just to hear you say your name,” I’m dead. Fully picturing it — pressed up against him at the bar, his hand on my waist, my girls hyping me up, me too horny to remember my own damn name let alone ask his. Eden says the song captures “that suspended moment when a simple question can turn everything upside down.” That’s giving me life because that’s how it happens — one look, one little “Hey baby, tell me… what’s your name?” — and suddenly it’s a whole movie scene in your head.

If you’re into Dua Lipa’s retro moments or those earworm disco-pop anthems that make you wanna flirt with strangers you’ll probably regret later, What’s Your Name? needs to be living rent-free on your playlist. It hits differently — retro, sexy, unapologetically thirsty, and 100% that hot girl spiral we all know too well. If you’ve ever wanted to flirt first and ask for his name way, way later, Eden and Me understood the assignment.
