Get ready to turn up the volume because Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, and the divine Nelly Furtado are back at it again! These iconic artists have joined forces once more to bring us a sensational new track. Yes, you read that right – after a whopping 16 years, they’ve finally reunited to deliver an electrifying slice of dance-pop pie.
It doesn’t seem like almost two decades have passed since the trio made waves in the music industry with their sensational chart-topping hit “Give It to Me,” which dominated the Billboard Hot 100. Fast forward to the present, and the trio hasn’t missed a beat with their “Keep Going Up!”

Building anticipation before the official release, Timbaland took to social media to share a teaser video for “Keep Going Up!” The caption accompanying the video read, “WE’RE BACK,” accompanied by eyes peeking and exploding head emojis. A month before this teaser, Timbaland shared an Instagram post featuring a FaceTime call between himself, Timberlake, and Furtado. It showed their collaboration while working on Timbaland’s highly anticipated sixth studio album.
“[Timbaland and Timberlake] have given it significant thought,” revealed Furtado in an interview with Billboard, speaking about her experience working with her long-time musical collaborators. “What’s remarkable about them is their approach of allowing me to express myself artistically, to lead the way. They provided excellent musical foundations and complementary contributions. When the three of us join forces on a song, we are equals, and it’s an incredible feeling.”
All three artists have made their mark in the music scene this year. In March, Timbaland teamed up with BIA for the release of “I’m That B—-.” Furtado dropped “Eat Your Man,” featuring Dom Dolla, in June. As for Timberlake, he made a guest appearance on a remix of Coco Jones’ “ICU” in July.

It’s great to hear these voices back on the music scene, especially Furtado’s, who’d been on what seemed like a music chart sabbatical for several years.
