I have a deeply embarrassing soft spot for the person who walks into your life and suddenly your morning coffee tastes better and your independent-ass routine starts making room for somebody else without filing a complaint. Shoshan Dunamis takes that giddy little emotional takeover and turns it into ‘Have a sense’, a bright Electro-Soul rush about realizing somebody has changed the way you move through your whole fucking day. The production keeps the synths bouncing around her vocal, then the instrumental section gives the dancers room to take over without interrupting the sugar rush. There is real emotional weight tucked inside all that shine, but Shoshan keeps the mood happy as hell. This is what falling hard sounds like when nobody is sitting around pretending they are too cool to enjoy it.
That lovestruck takeover becomes wonderfully obvious when she sings “You’re the first in my mind when I wake up / And the last / When I go to bed.” Girl, once somebody has claimed both ends of your day, the crush has already moved into the damn penthouse and started rearranging furniture. Shoshan sounds thrilled by how completely this person occupies her attention, and that excitement gives the song its playful pulse. I love a woman who recognizes she is fully gone and decides to enjoy the fucking view instead of acting mysterious about it.

The chorus gives the whole feeling its name with “It’s like I have a sense now Always all the time / It’s like I have a sense now Since you’re in my life.” Her world suddenly feels easier to understand because somebody has entered it and shifted the emotional lighting. That idea could get heavy fast, yet Shoshan wraps it in enough synth-pop sweetness to keep your ass moving while she gets sentimental. Honestly, finding somebody who improves your emotional GPS without requiring a three-hour relationship summit sounds pretty fucking luxurious.
She pushes the transformation further with “You turned me upside down, / all you saw was me / With just one word / You set me free.” The appeal is being fully recognized by somebody and feeling some of the bullshit in your head finally shut up. He sees her clearly, and suddenly all that old internal noise has less authority over the room. There is something sexy about a connection that makes you feel lighter without asking you to perform for it – especially when Shoshan delivers the realization with this much joy. Sometimes the hottest person in the room is the one who makes your brain stop being an asshole for five minutes.

Shoshan Dunamis is an independent artist from Wiesbaden, Germany, with a catalog that moves through Electro-Soul and R&B while making room for pop and gospel influences. Before putting her own name at the front of the project, she worked as a studio singer and songwriter for artists and producers. Her earlier releases have reached No. 47 on the iTunes Dance Charts and picked up international radio attention. That background makes sense when you hear how comfortably she handles ‘Have a sense’. She knows how to make a polished pop record, but she still lets enough personality through for the whole thing to feel human instead of suspiciously perfect.
By the end of ‘Have a sense’, I am completely sold on the person who makes you wake up happier and sends your emotional compass into this much adorable chaos. Shoshan makes being completely taken with somebody feel fun again, with enough movement underneath it to keep all that sweetness from getting sticky. The instrumental break gives you somewhere to shake your ass while the chorus handles the feelings, which seems like an extremely fair division of labor. If somebody enters my life and improves my mornings this fucking much, fine. They can stay.
