I have learned that eye contact is one of those things that should come with a warning label, because the right man can hold it half a second too long and suddenly I am forgetting the point I was making while pretending I meant to stop talking. Plas Moon understands that little malfunction on ‘Thoze Eyez’, an alt-pop/R&B slow-burn with a chillwave haze around the edges. She takes her time with the vocal and lets the runs curl into the melody until the whole thing feels like 1 a.m. eye contact across a room I was fully planning to leave twenty minutes ago. The mood stays romantic and grown, and Moon sounds confident enough to enjoy being a little fucked up over somebody. Losing focus is embarrassing enough that good music should at least give the bad judgment production value.

Give me one man with stupidly good eye contact and suddenly all the therapy bills feel decorative. “Some rare creatures what you are / In your eyes / There’s stars / When you look my away / I’m floating to mars / Outta body / Your gravity / Consumes me.” Moon makes attraction feel physical here, the kind that scrambles your sense of where you are because somebody looked at you with intent. Her body reacts before she can organize a sensible thought, and sensible thoughts have ruined plenty of perfectly good nights. That shit can wait until brunch. I have lost entire sentences over a face before, and my dignity was pissed as hell about it.
The man has turned eye contact into a fucking centrifuge. “Can’t explain the feeling / You keep reelin me in / Round and around I spin / Like I’m orbiting / In those eyes / Feels like I’m floating (floating, floating) / Stars align / It’s hard to focus, focus.” She sounds happily disoriented by him, pulled so far into the attraction that concentration has basically clocked out while she enjoys the whole mental collapse. Babe, I support getting a little stupid over somebody hot as long as I retain enough brain function to find my Uber.
Hearing your name from the right mouth can do irresponsible things to your judgment, and Moon knows it. “I’m Lost in time / I am / Lost in your space / How sparks fly / When you say my name.” One tiny verbal cue turns the crush intimate because now the attention feels aimed directly at her, and that kind of focus can make a woman start revising plans she swore were fixed. I have had a man say my name once and suddenly remembered why my responsible ass keeps lip gloss in every purse I own.

Plas Moon, short for Palace of the Moon, has real history behind the celestial branding. She has been releasing music since at least 2021’s Ambience, and after more than a decade moving between the United States and Jamaica, she recently settled on the island full-time with her family. Her Ghanaian-African and Blackfoot heritage feeds the visual identity around the project, while she points to Aretha Franklin and Bob Marley as major musical touchstones. More Love More Life arrived in August 2026 after years shaped by motherhood and personal loss, and she is already working toward an all-reggae EP. That background gives the romance some actual fucking weight because the woman singing it has clearly lived enough life to know softness can still have a spine.
By the outro, “Round and round / You spin me round and round / Baby my world is upside down…” sounds like the natural consequence of letting somebody get that deep into your head. Moon spends ‘Thoze Eyez’ making infatuation feel grown and slightly dangerous, where one look can make your schedule suddenly negotiable. My boundaries are respectable, and I still reserve the right to make one stupid-ass decision if his eyes are good enough. Therapy can invoice me later.
