HEXXY’s ‘EAT MY MOCHI’ Serves Up Female Desire with a Four-Step Instruction Manual

Every culture has a word for it. Sanskrit gave us yoni, the sacred, creative, divine feminine energy so powerful it has been worshipped for centuries. Taoist tradition gave us “jade gate,” which honestly sounds like somewhere most guys would book a fucking vacation to. Men have been trying to harness and control pussy power since caveman days and failing every single time, which is honestly their problem. Hexxy took one look at all of that history and turned it into a hyperpop banger called ‘EAT MY MOCHI.’ Mochi is a Japanese rice cake, pillowy soft on the outside with a sweet filling that floods your mouth until every last drop is gone. Different words, same goddamn energy across thousands of years.

‘EAT MY MOCHI’ landed on a random Tuesday and I spent thirty full minutes in a parking lot letting it loop, blindsided by how much this shit slaps. Think about it: this is why guys automatically go diving the first time we’re between the sheets with them. They’re paying their respects, worshipping the divine feminine, tasting the sweet mochi. That instinct is ancient and Hexxy just gave it a hyperpop beat. I have been playing this at fucking irresponsible volumes and the neighbors can deal.

The production hits you before the lyrics do. Saturated, punchy, glitchy as hell, basslines so fat and deliberate you feel them before you hear them. The electronic distortion has this satisfying crunch that a track under 75 seconds has absolutely no business pulling off. Lead vocalist Melodia rides on top of it all with this infectious, unfiltered energy, switching between English and Spanish mid-thought like she owns every language she touches. The whole thing explodes and dissolves and explodes again, like multiple orgasms, and you’re already on your third replay.

The mochi metaphor is genuinely filthy once Hexxy break it down. They built their whole track around the idea of pussy power dressed up in dessert imagery and glitch production, daring you to underestimate it. The generation of men who spent all that time trying to control it would hate this song. Good. Every girl instinctively knows her mochi drives men absolutely feral. Has since caveman days.

Okay so the song opens in Spanish and Melodia struts in speaking the language of desire before she’s even gotten to the dirty part. “Dulce y suave, pero mortal / Cuerpo pequeño, placer brutal” and that’s “Sweet and soft, but deadly / Small body, brutal pleasure” and she is done fucking around. She knows he’s already undone by it and she’s absolutely counting on that.

The English verse is where Melodia stops being coy about what she’s offering and starts being specific about what she expects in return. “Sweet on the lips, poison inside / Cute little demon, I’ll make you slide” and “sweet on the lips” has nothing to do with rice cakes. She’s talking about going down on her, the moment his mouth makes contact and he is completely at her mercy, addicted, unable to stop, which she already knew would happen before he even got there. “Make you slide” is four words that describe the specific physiological response of a man who has just lost all higher cognitive function. Then back to Spanish because she has more to say. “Si me saboreas, pierdes el control / Soy tu mochi, tu tentación” translates as “If you taste me, you lose control / I’m your mochi, your temptation.” She is telling you what her juice does to a man. She already knows he’s going down.

Then the chorus arrives and I genuinely lost it. “CRUSH IT — TASTE IT — RIP IT — LICK IT!” That is a four-step instruction manual for going down on her, delivered in all caps, written like a cheer because she wants him enthusiastic about the assignment. He follows all four or he sees himself out.

The second verse bounces around the globe with this breezy confidence that I find deeply annoying in the best way. “Smooth like a kitty / Have you dreamed about a girl so pretty? / From Paris to New York City / Juicy and romantic, come and eat so litty” She’s wanted in multiple time zones and “smooth like a kitty” is running the same oral sex subtext the whole damn track runs on. Then she drops back into Spanish for the coldest dismissal on the record. “Me estás llamando / Y esta noche ya estoy ocupada” means “You’re calling me / And tonight I’m already busy.” He called. She’s occupied. Said it in Spanish like the translation wasn’t worth her time.

Then she says “Heavy metal for the girls” in the middle of a pink glitchy candy pop song and I actually screamed. The sweetness is packaging. The contents have been driving men out of their minds since before recorded history. “Pink cream, body tight — you’re under arrest” and she’s not talking about dessert anymore. She’s running the whole operation.

The track builds toward the finish and she is still issuing instructions. “Take a bite — lose your mind / Eat your part / Fluffy, creamy, burning like a fire” and “eat your part” is a stage direction. She is assigning roles and the role is what it sounds like. The final stretch brings her girls into it and there is one word in “Addicted to me / All my girls in the car / Come here right now, please / Have a mochi bite” that wrecks me every time and it’s “please.” She did not need to say please. She said it anyway and now he’d do anything she asked. The track closes on “Eat it, dream it, feel it — damn, so fire” and she built the word “damn” right into the last line. Addicted. First verse. She called it.

Hexxy is Melodia and Alexis, and their backstory explains everything about why this song exists. Melodia is the daughter of a former Peruvian superstar, grew up completely inside music, taught herself bass, kept going, and eventually landed in Paris to study photography. That’s where she met Alexis, born in Paris to a former superstar musician from Quebec, trained at the Paris Conservatory, which means he has the classical foundation and the fucking audacity to blow it up whenever the track calls for it. Two people raised inside music as a way of life, from completely different corners of the world, meeting in Paris and deciding that genre boundaries were someone else’s problem. Hexxy sits somewhere between hyperpop, alternative electronic, and experimental glitchy pop and they are nowhere near done. Multiple singles and videos are lined up for 2026 and live performances are coming by the end of the year. Pay attention now before everyone else catches up.

So I started this with yoni and jade gates and the ancient, unbroken history of men losing their minds over what women are packing, and Melodia and Alexis just went and proved it in 74 seconds. They wrapped pussy power in mochi-sweet dessert language and bilingual commands and a chorus that is an instruction manual, and the whole thing is so loaded with female agency that I was still thinking about it three days after I first heard it. My theory stands. Hexxy just gave it a beat.
