Flo.Von and Max Metzinger’s ‘Feels Like’ Will Find You Before You Can Outrun It

There’s a guy I’ve been seeing who picks up on the first ring every single time. Doesn’t matter what time it is, first ring. I didn’t realize how badly I needed that until one night I called just to hear his voice and he answered before I’d even finished processing that I’d dialed. That specific feeling, the one where someone’s presence just takes the noise down and you realize you’re in this way deeper than you meant to be, is what Flo.Von and Max Metzinger captured on ‘Feels Like,’ and they did it without a wasted word.

Flo.Von and Max Metzinger are the kind of German producers you discover at 2am when the DJ drops something that makes your whole body forget what it was doing five seconds ago. These two have been building something real in the tech house and minimal house world, quietly stacking releases on Strangelove Recordings, Artichokes Are Yellow, and zerrro while the rest of the scene scrambles to catch up. Flo.Von came up through Strangelove on his own, with solo EPs like “Rock Like This” and “Fallin” establishing him as a serious force before he and Max ever linked up. The label behind their first collab described it as “perfectenschlag” and honestly, that’s the most accurate shit you’ll read about these two.

Since teaming up they’ve been dropping work that belongs in the sweatiest, most electric rooms you’ve ever lost yourself in, building a collaborative catalog from “The Energy” and “Lost & Found” all the way through “C’mon” and “Burn Me Down” in 2025. Max holds his own as a solo artist too, with tracks like “Tell Me ‘Bout It” and “Loud” making clear he’s got more range than any single credit suggests. Neither of them are out here begging for attention, and frankly they don’t need to be. The floor moves when they play and the crowd fills in the fucking rest.

The verse opens right where the feeling lives. “I’m only a call away / I will pick it up every day / If I only knew how much / I need this now” is the voice of someone still half-surprised by their own feelings. That “if I only knew” is doing serious work, carrying all the weight of something that snuck up on you while you were busy pretending to be fine. You thought you were keeping it casual. You were wrong as shit.

Then the chorus blows it all the way open. “Oh, it feels like I’m flying / If you want the moon, I’ll be trying / A moment to take the rush away / When I’m with you.” The promise to reach for the fucking moon is the kind of thing people say when they’re too far gone to care who hears it. And “a moment to take the rush away” is everything, because the best people absorb your chaos and the noise just stops dead, and hell, when you find that person you can’t believe you went without it. Flo.Von and Max wrap all of it in production that genuinely floats, like the track is inside the same feeling it’s describing.

First ring. Every damn time. I thought I was fine on my own and then I wasn’t, and ‘Feels Like’ is the sound of that realization coming for you before you can outrun it. Flo.Von and Max Metzinger made something that feels like falling and somehow made it sound like flying. That’s one hell of a trick.
