As we come to the end of 2025, we have an opportunity to look back on some of the amazing music we have written about this year and present you with some of our favorite tracks that we have covered. In this guest post for our friends @ Laurelanne.media, we are looking at five of our favorite tracks that fit into the Dance Pop genre, celebrating the songs that defined bold late-night playlists, lit up dance floors around the world, and perfectly captured the energy and evolution of the genre over the past twelve months.

Across these five tracks, what really stands out is the diversity and depth that have shaped Dance Pop throughout 2025. Our first pick, I’m Watching You (So Many Times) by ellis and Gadjo, sets the tone with some sleek, pulsating production and an uplifting lead vocal that keeps listeners locked in from beginning to end. Another of our favorite tracks, Dumday and Victor Perry’s Hold Me, meanwhile, leans into a more emotional sound, blending heartfelt, yearning vocals with a polished, club-ready aesthetic that sounds as good being played through your headphones as it does being blasted out across a packed club.

Another of our favorite Dance Pop tracks from this year is My Mess by Essy, which brings a rawer, more personal edge to the genre, blending confessional lyrics with buoyant melodies and driving basslines. In contrast, Sunrise by Discrete and Notelle captures a sense of release and optimism, building gradually before bursting into a memorable, euphoric refrain made up of House-inflected piano chords and chopped up vocals. Rounding off our favorites list, Nolan Pierce’s No Cure For You delivers a darker energy and sharp Pop instincts, combining catchy hooks with an introspective lyrical sentiment that lingers long after the track ends.

Taken together, these songs highlight how Dance Pop has continued to evolve throughout 2025, embracing emotion, experimentation, and pure escapism whilst still delivering the irresistible beats and melodies that fans will always want to return to.

    🌐#5 – ellis & Gadjo – I’m Watching You (So Many Times)

If you’re on the lookout for a fresh 2025 Dance Pop EDM release, then check out this new single from record label Armada Music – I’m Watching You (So Many Times) by ellis and Gadjo. Armada has released some iconic tracks in this genre over the years, including the recent Reinier Zonneveld and Bloom Twins single Mama Maria, and we do not doubt that this new track is set to join those ranks over the coming months.

A catchy, inviting vocal melody leads the charge when it comes to making ellis & Gadjo – I’m Watching You (So Many Times), an essential Dance Pop EDM release for 2025. The hypnotic ‘so many times’ refrain acts as a vital lyrical anchor for the song, reeling you in and refusing to let you go for the entirety of the track’s two and a half minute duration. Elsewhere, sleek production weaves energetic House music textures with a contemporary Pop flair, lending the song a sparkling finesse that renders it both radio-ready and well-suited to a mainstage festival set.

One of the reasons ellis & Gadjo’s I’m Watching You (So Many Times) might feel familiar is the fact that the song harkens back to those heady days of 1980s pop, where the bass was loud, the rhythms popped, and the vocal melodies were unbelievably catchy. Combined with its contemporary energy, these nostalgic vibes ensure this new Armada music single delivers the perfect blend of comfort and novelty, also rendering the track the most instantly replayable Dance Pop EDM release we’ve heard in 2025 so far. In short, if you like your EDM twitch bold, danceable vibes, and some classic throwback energy, then this track needs to be added to your playlists right away.

    🌐#4 – Dumday & Victor Perry – Hold Me

We hope you’re ready for one of the best summer Afro House songs of 2025, because that’s exactly what Dumday and Victor Perry have produced with their new release, Hold Me. For those not already in the know, Dumday is an Italy-based Progressive producer and performer, whilst Victor Perry is a New York-based singer-songwriter who has been compared to the likes of Michael Jackson and The Weeknd. With this collaboration, meanwhile, they have created an iconic Dance Pop release that will make the perfect music for your summer beach party!

Dumday & Victor Perry – Hold Me is an infectious example of Dance Pop music that sounds like it was tailored for a beach or pool party, firstly because it instantly grabs your attention. Its pulsating beat is both smooth and hypnotic, making it perfect to get people moving on a warm summer evening. Perry’s voice is silky and soulful, gliding effortlessly over the rhythms with a subtle but undeniable swagger, whilst the catchiness of his vocal melodies lends the track an undeniable universal appeal.

If you’re looking for feel-good Dance Pop music to brighten your beach party, then Dumday and Victor Perry’s Hold Me is the track for you. Its infectious groove makes it one of the best summer Afro House songs of 2025, whilst also bringing in those danceable, catchy elements to keep things fresh. Its production is polished and Progressive, keeping the summer vibes flowing and evoking images of golden sunsets, whilst Perry’s emotive vocals add just the right touch of warmth and sunshine.

In short, it is certainly not your average summer hit, with layered percussion, deep basslines, and atmospheric synths creating a rich, textured soundscape that elevates the track one step above a lot of other music in this genre that is out there right now!

    🌐#3 – Essy – My Mess

Also known as a songwriter for artists on labels like Atlantic Records, Interscope, Sony UK, and Warner UK, Synth Pop and Alternative Dance artist Essy has just put out an incredible new music release that will surely solidify her place as one to watch in 2025. The release in question is called Essy – My Mess, and hopefully, in this review, we will show you exactly why this track resonates so well in the current Alternative Dance and Synth Pop scenes.

On My Mess, Essy carves out a distinct creative vision, revealing herself to be an artist who can balance heartfelt songwriting and danceable rhythms with undeniable Pop sensibilities. The track is bold but also vulnerable and emotionally honest, blending glossy synth textures with pulsating dance rhythms to create a 2025 new music release that sits somewhere between Synth Pop nostalgia and the forward motion of the current Alternative Dance scene. The track’s lyrics are another key part of its appeal, with the artist’s honesty shining through from the very first line of the verse (“I tried too hard to think, to breathe, to be someone else”).

Essy – My Mess is a song that resonates so strongly in today’s Synth Pop and Alternative Dance landscape primarily because it captures a duality that is rare in so-called ‘Pop music’: emotional depth combined with shimmering, radio-ready production and big, bold hooks. Modern audiences crave authenticity just as much as they crave a good melody, and here Essy delivers both with great success. In a more general sense, My Mess captures several hallmarks of these two genres, including lush, polished synths, sleek rhythmic grooves, and potent beats that will keep listeners on the dancefloor. In short – and as this review has aimed to outline – Essy – My Mess is a 2025 new music release that will keep fans of both the Synth Pop and Alternative Dance genres happy, all whilst raising the artist’s profile and reputation.

    🌐#2 – Discrete & Notelle – Sunrise

Discrete & Notelle – Sunrise is a brand new dreamy & upbeat Indie Dance Pop collaboration on 146 Records from two artists who sound as though they have been working together for years, so well do their musical styles complement each other. Bringing ethereal and atmospheric vibes whilst keeping energy levels high, the track sets itself apart from a lot of Pop-flavored electronic music that is around at the moment with its distinctive sound and unusual structure, with the pretty melodies and lithe rhythms ensuring that the track flows easily from one section to another without having to adhere to a formula. The production on the track is also exceptional, bringing a retro ’90s feel whilst also keeping things light and fresh, so much so that this song is definitely going to be one you have on repeat over and over again. Consequently, we’re sure that this new Indie Dance Pop song from Discrete and Notelle – on the brand new New York-based record label and publishing company 146 Records by Atlantic veteran Gina Tucci – is going to go down well with both new and seasoned fans of these artists.

If you want to know a little more about Discrete & Notelle, the artists behind this irresistible new summer gem, meanwhile, then read on. Described as “a talented artist originating from Stockholm, Sweden, with a unique blend of American and Norwegian heritage”, Discrete’s exceptional DJ and production talents have seen him racking up millions of streams and grabbing the attention of Insomniac Records in recent years, whilst releasing tracks such as Feed Me With Love, Bless Me alongside Dombresky, and In My Heart with Pawl (the latter track having also been remixed by Panuma). Notelle, meanwhile, is an incredibly talented Nashville singer whose smoky vocals have already enhanced a significant number of EDM and Pop tracks to date.

Discrete and Notelle – Sunrise, the infectious new dreamy & upbeat Indie Dance Pop song on 146 Records, however, surely marks one of the most accomplished releases to date for both of these artists, who bring their own individual sounds to the track whilst also complementing each other’s styles with flair and finesse.

🌐#1 – Nolan Pierce – No Cure For You

No Cure For You is a new emotional Melodic House track by Nolan Pierce, and as this review will hopefully prove, it is a release that is right at the top of our list for chill Dance Pop music recommendations in 2025. Blending his signature emotional depth with chilled Melodic House vibes and perfectly crafted production, this has to be one of Pierce’s strongest tracks to date.

Nolan Pierce – No Cure For You blends shimmering melodic textures with a deeply emotional musical core, resulting in a track that feels both reflective and dancefloor-ready. From just the opening few seconds, Pierce’s emotive production wraps you in a soft, atmospheric glow, before warm synth pads, delicate percussive details, and vocals steeped in reverb gradually begin to unfold. Elsewhere, what truly elevates the track is the artist’s sense of restraint. Rather than relying on explosive drops or overblown hooks, he instead opts for a subtle feeling of tension and release, allowing the melody to breathe and the story within the lyrics to reveal itself gradually.

As an emotional Melodic House release for 2025, you won’t find many tracks to top this new Nolan Pierce tune. No Cure For You thrives on its ability to fuse intimate storytelling with a chill, electronic atmosphere and Dance Pop vibe, putting it at the very top of our music recommendations list right now. With stunningly layered arpeggios, gently swelling pads, and vocals that sit at just the right place within the mix, Pierce has crafted a track that is deeply emotional, but which never slips into melodrama or cheesiness.

All in all, as this review has hopefully proved, Nolan Pierce – No Cure For You stands as both one of the most compelling emotional Melodic House releases of the year so far, and a track that is destined to stay on our playlists into 2026 and beyond.
